Did you know that it costs the Council roughly $443 per Scout to deliver on the promises of Scouting to youth every year? This means that we must rely on many donors, volunteers, and community members to keep our program operating at its highest potential every year.
Through the contributions of local businesses, individuals, and Scout parents, we provide access to our two Scout Reservations and Council Service Center, a full-time professional staff, low-cost training courses and activities, and more. Will you help us to continue to support Scouts today?
Ways to Give

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund campaign provides Scouters, parents, alumni, businesses, and community members with an opportunity to support local Scouting at a level of their own choosing.
The Fund supports Scouting by providing funds for local programs, camp scholarships, administrative costs associated with the Scout Service Center and staffing, accident and liability insurance to protect both youth and adult members, and leadership training for young people and adult volunteers.

Read Staff Cabin Sponsorship Campaign
The Greater Hudson Valley Council has launched a three-year campaign to build 12 new staff housing units. Each unit will house a staff employee within Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation. These units will position staff members throughout the reservation, while giving staff members the independence to recharge for their next day of camp, enhancing the overall experience for our Scouts.
Each unit is 14' x 10’ and costs $7,500. As a Thank You for purchasing a unit, a plaque with a name that you choose will be placed on your donated unit. In this way, you will be a part of the living legacy of Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation. If you have any questions regarding this campaign, please contact Scout Executive Richard Stockton at Richard.Stockton@scouting.org
